Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida is an autonomous Institute under Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Recruitment/selection for the posts of Staff Nurse in Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida is to be conducted as per provision of “SWA-SHASHI RAJYA CHIKITSA MAHAVIDYALAY ADHINASTH NURSING (ARAJPATRIT) SEVA PARINIYAMAVALI-2023”.

Educational Qualification

1. (i) B.Sc Nursing (4 years course) from an Indian Nursing Council / Medical Faculty recognized Institute or University or B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) (2 Years Course) (ii) Registered as Nurse & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council
OR
2. (i) Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (G.N.M) from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute/ Board or Council
(ii) *Two Years experience in a minimum 50 bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned
(iii) Registered as Nurse & Midwife in State/ Indian Nursing Council.

Age Limit

1- The decisive date of age calculation for recruitment to the post is 1st July, 2023.
2- In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs and other such categories of candidates in Uttar Pradesh, the upper age limit will be as high as specified by the Government.

3- In case of Permanent Uttar Pradesh Government Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service in the relevant field relaxable up to maximum period of 5 years as per GOs of Govt of UP, Karmik Anubhag -4 Ref No. -2-E.M./2001-Ka- 42013 dated 27.08.2013.

4- For appointment on direct entry posts an ex-service man vide U.P.Govt Niyukti (kha) deptt no. 5/1/66-niyukti (kha) dated 16.3.1970, he shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the armed forces from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post / service for which he seeks appointment by more than 03 years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding the upper agelimit. However, he should have rendered satisfactory approved military service in any wing of army, navy or air force and he should be otherwise eligible for the post.

Online application system is applicable for applying under the above advertisement. The application sent through any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates should apply online only. Candidates applying online, to please ensure compliance with the procedure given below-
Process of filling the application form – The process of filling the application form is divided into the five following parts:-
i. Candidate Registration
ii. Filling up of balance details of the form.
iii. Uploading photo, signatures and other documents
iv. Payment of Fees and Application Form Submission
v. Printout of Application form
Note: The candidate can complete all the above mentioned procedures in one attempt for filling the application form.

Selection Process

The selection will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
Hall Ticket for the Computer Based Test (CBT):
The applicants can print their hall ticket for the Computer Based Test (CBT) online from GIMS, Greater Noida website www.gims.ac.in
Computer Based Test (CBT):
For the post of Staff Nurse, a Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be of 02 hours duration and will be of 100 marks. It will contain multiple choice questions (MCQs), as follows –
** 80% questions will be related to Theory of Nursing knowledge
** 20% questions will be related to Practical application of Nursing work (of these 10% will be related to COVID related work)
** Syllabus- as enclosed
** There will be NO negative marking.
** Language of the examination will be both English and Hindi
Minimum qualifying marks of Computer Based Test (CBT) for the post will be:-
40% for – UR, EWS.
35% for – SC, ST & OBC

Final Merit List:
The final merit list will be prepared ONLY based on the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT), for all categories (i.e. UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc) separately and rank will be awarded to all qualified applicants.

While preparing the selection list for the Unreserved category, all applicants (including those from the reserved categories) will be taken into consideration, but while preparing the selection list for a reserved category, only applicants of that category will be taken into consideration. The same method will be applicable in all reserved categories.
