Exam Fee

** Rs.500/- for all the candidates
** Rs.250/- for SC/ ST/ EBC/ PwBD/ Female/ Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates

Modes of Fee Payment :
a. ONLINE
b. OFFLINE

Important Instructions

** Candidates waiting for final results of prescribed educational qualification should not apply.
** Candidates should have their own mobile number & email ID
** Candidates can apply to only one Railway Board.
** Selected candidates will have to execute Security bond.

Recruitment Process

Selection of candidates will be through
** Computer Based Test(s),
** Physical Efficiency Test (PET),
** Document Verification
** Medical Examination

CBT

1. Exam Mode – Computer Based Test (CBT)

The examination duration & number of questions are listed below.
** Exam Duration – 90 Minutes
** General Science – 25
** Mathematics – 25
** General Intelligence and Reasoning – 30
** General Awareness and Current Affairs – 20

2. Negative Marking – 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
3. Normalization of Marks – Marks will be normalized for short listing the candidates from CBT to PET.

PET

The criterion for PET is as under
Male Candidates :
** Lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for 100 metres in 2 minutes
** Run 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds

Female Candidates :
** Lift and carry 20 Kg of weight of 100 metres in 2 minutes
** Run 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds

Document Verification

The following documents to be submitted for document verification,
1. Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate
2. NCVT/ SCVT Certificate
3. SC/ST certificate
4. OBC-NCL certificate
5. Income Certificate
6. Medical Certificate
7. NOC Certificate

Note :
Candidates will have to bring ORIGINAL identity proof during CBT, PET, DV, Medical Exam.

What are the Valid Phot ID card?
i) Voter Card,
ii) Aadhaar Card,
iii) Printout of e-Aadhaar
iv) Driving License,
v) PAN card,
vi) Passport,
vii) Identity Card issued by the employer,
viii) College Photo ID card

Medical Exam

Selected candidates, those meet the medical standards in the Indian Railway Medical Manual will be eligible for appointment.

Modification Of Application

After final submission, the candidate able to correct their application by paying the modification fee of Rs 100.

Note :
Email id & mobile number cannot be changed

Hall Ticket

Eligible candidates will receive an email messages & SMS about the e-Call letter. Then the candidates can download their hall tickets from the official website.

Syllabus

The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices.
a. Mathematics :
Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.

b. General Intelligence & Reasoning :
Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

c. General Science :
Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level (CBSE).

d. General Awareness :
Current affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics.

FAQs

1. Can I apply for different zones for different posts?
No, You can apply from any one zone only.

2. Can I choose any other exam language except english?
English is the default language. Candidates also choose other language from the drop down list of languages.
