Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test

The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET 2024) is conducted by the School Education Department of Karnataka to determine eligibility for teaching positions in government primary and upgraded primary schools across the state. KARTET exam held on 30-06-2024 (Sunday). On this date the examination will be conducted in two sessions in all the district centers of the state. Last Date for submission of Online Application Form is 15th May, 2024.

Education Qualification of KARTET

Paper I:
PUC/ Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known)/ 4th year B.El.Ed/ 2- year D.Ed (Special Education)/ BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in Final-year of 2-year D.Ed

Paper II:
B.A/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known)/ 2-year B.Ed/ 4-year B.El.Ed/ Final-year B.Ed (Special Education)/ PUC / Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in final year of 4- year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.

Age Limit of KARTET

Paper I: An individual should be between the ages of 18 and 40 years.
Paper II: A candidate must fall within the age range of 21 to 40 years.

Exam Pattern of KARTET

** The exam will be conducted in two papers: Paper I for primary school teachers (PST) and Paper II for graduate primary teachers (GPT).
** Each paper will be a multiple-choice question format with 150 questions and a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking.
