Nivaran Lodge Grievance

This is the Platform for Resolution of Service Related Grievances of Serving & Former Railway Employees.

A person who wants to lodge a grievance shall have to register as a User and obtain Login/User ID and Password.

Existing registered users can sign in with user name, if not a registered user, then create Account by clicking ‘Create Account’ Link.

Nivaran FAQs

What is NIVARAN?
1. It is an additional on line facility for registering grievances relating to service matters.
2. Its progress shall be monitored by highest authority right upto Railway Board and Hon’ble Minister for Railways.

How to Register grievance on the portal?
1. A person who wants to lodge a grievance shall have to register as a User and obtain Login/User ID and Password.
2. After obtaining the Log/User ID the person can register the grievance as per prescribed format.
3. On successful completion the system would generate a unique registration number. The unique registration number should be retained for accessing the system in future

Can I lodge a grievance without possessing a mobile phone and email account?
1. While it is desirable that the person lodging a grievance possesses a mobile phone and email account for faster and more reliable communication, you can lodge your grievance even without them

Can I know the status of my grievance?
1. The person can track the status of grievance by using the Unique Registration number.
2. The person can intervene to make observation/reminder besides seeing the action taken on the grievance by different authorities.

What is the nature of grievance which can be lodged?
1. Nivaran provides for lodging complaints arising out of service related issues which have been broadly classified under 6 categories. Under one of these categories further subcategories of grievance can be selected for quick transmission to the concerned authority.
2. If none of the categories appears to be suitable, the person can select ‘other’ category and lodge the complaint.

What is the timeline for disposal?
1. The management has laid down a time limit of 60 days from day of registration for disposal of grievances unless on account of exceptional reasons.

How will I know the disposal of my case?
1. When the case is disposed off, a message would be sent on the registered email id and/or registered mobile number. The complainant can see the status by logging in the system.

Who will examine my grievance?
1. The grievance would be forwarded to the authority concerned with the subject matter as described in the complaint.

Can I appeal against the disposal?
1. If a grievant is not satisfied with the disposal, he/she can lodge an appeal with the help of original Registration number.
2. The grievance can be entered by clicking on ‘Appeal’ button which would be examined by a higher authority.
3. Time limit for disposal of appeal is 45 days.

My Pf number is IF 130290. My mutual transfer letter comes before 5 months but not received to me by SSE PW UMRI divi HYB.

** You can visit the official website nivaran.railnet.gov.in/nivaranonline/NivaranHome.seam
** After visiting this website you can see an option called “Please Lodge Your Grievance Here”.
** Select this option, a new page will open.
** In the new page select the option called “Create Account”.
** Online employee registration form will open you can fill that form.
** After filling the form select “Confirm”, to confirm your user registration.
** Now you can lodge your complaint.

  1. I want to apply for inter zone mutual transfer. What is the procedure for same?

  2. I was promoted on October 07th. My promotional increment was not paid due to merger of grade, vide railway board dated April 2016. The promotional increment to be paid, the grievance was represented several time to DyCPO/CN/MS and PCPO/MAS till date the pay has not been fixed, I am drawing Rs. 74,300 instead of Rs. 78800. I have also represented to NIVARAN, the pay fixation by DyCPO/CN/MS not done till date.

    I like to suggest that all zones under the control of Indian Railways should introduce & change in the present validity tenure of “CTO” = Concessional Ticket Order now avail by huge number of RAILWAY employees to perform their daily office journey. NOW THIS SO CALLED CTO IS HAVING ONLY ONE MONTH VALIDITY. HENCE, My proposal to increase its validity by three or six months so that Printing expenditure will be reduce, simultaneously wastage of time to encash the same in every month and also it will be served as “ECO-FRIENDLY” & “ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY” & beneficial to Swatch-Bharat-Program.

  5. I HAVE REGISTERED MY GRIEVANCE IN LAST MONTH MAY, 2018 BUT REGISTRATION NUMBER IS NOT GENERATED YET. HOW CAN I GET NOW THE STATUS OF MY GRIEVANCE AND HOW TO KNOW THE REPLY IF ANY. PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

  12. i lodged a complaint on 19.11.2019 ,so far no replay under pending, if i tried to appeal next level but showing today also (05/02/20201 after one year )your grievance is under process ,please try to give appeal chance to further time stipulated time frame
